The secret was to have a secret.

An eternity ago, a week ago, she had no secrets. She told him everything for the first time in their marriage. She offered up to him every thought, no matter how insignificant it might seem to him. That was when she started to lose the guilt. The driving force that made the spanking feel good was gone.

This morning she had a secret. She told her tiny lies and when she was spanked, felt she deserved it. The paddle that had made her scream yesterday made her wet today. It made her cry. If he only knew how very naughty she really was, he would forgive her. That is what she feels guilty about now.


She should be able to tell him everything, she can tell him everything, but she won't. She needs the guilt and the pain and the secret.
